High school, to me, can relate to a quote by Dickens. He once said, "It was the best of times. It was the worst of times." High school can be the best of times because you get to meet knew people and form relationships. We learn from your mistakes before we make them as an adult. As a teenager, these mistakes can't hurt you as much. It's good to learn while you're still young. We get to let out all of the jokes and pranks before you are too old to goof around. We learn the difference between the good and bad people. We get to experience our first heartbreak early in life, preparing us for whatever bad things may happen in the future like loosing our jobs, homes, or even loved ones as an adult. Our teenage years in high school teach us and strengthen us.
High school was the worst of times. We made mistakes and hurt each other. We let good friends go because we were too selfish to see we were wrong. In high school, we are opinionated and some of us have yet to learn when to keep our mouths shut. We experience our first heartbreaks and realize life isn't the happily ever after we were taught to believe in when we were smaller, younger, and innocent. People around us we used to call friends start to make bad decisions that you cannot deal with anymore. We must learn to tolerate the bad in the people around us to keep old friends. High school might just be the worst of times.
